Vascular Surgery

The Vascular Surgery Clinic treats referral patients with diseases of the arterial and venous systems.  Diseases of the arterial system imclude carotid artery stenosis, aortoiliac and femoral popliteal occlusive disease and arterial aneurysms.  Diseases of the venous system include varicose veins, deep venous insufficiency, deep venous thrombosis and venous stasis ulcers.  Patients with end-stage renal disease who require vascular access for chronic hemodialysis are also evaluated in the vascular clinic.  Close coordination between the vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists and the referring physicians is a key component of the vascular clinic program.
